A DESERVING ARTIST
On May 1, 1981, Jiří Winter was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist; paradoxically, despite the fact that the communist regime of the Czechoslovakia made his life miserable, for example for his collaboration with Miloslav Švandrlík on the book Černí baroni.
THE BOOK OF RECORDS
In 2001, Jiří Winter-Neprakta was entered in the Czech Book of Records for a record number of drawings, namely 35,000 + 10,000 illustrations for books and film. The final number is not yet known. New drawings, portraits and illustrations are still being found.
